Tucked away in the easternmost corner of Uttarakhand, the Darma Valley is a geographical masterpiece where the Dhauliganga River carves a path between the colossal Himalayas and the borders of Tibet and Nepal. This is the ancestral home of the Rung people — one of India's most isolated Himalayan communities.
Unlike commercial trails, Darma offers a raw, unfiltered encounter with nature. From the coniferous forests of Dharchula to the stark, glacial moraines of Panchachuli Base Camp, five jagged peaks pierce the sky at over 6,000 meters — sacred, wild, and entirely yours.
Stay in traditional Rung architecture — homes built with hand-carved stone and wood, designed for the high-altitude chill.
Taste the valley's soul through salt-butter tea (Jya) and organic honey harvested from the Meola cliffs.
Proximity to the Meola Glacier requires expertise. Our guides carry oxygen reserves for all Base Camp attempts.
